It doesn t connect with lift cord.
Venetian blind cord lock stuck.
Tilt cord is simply threaded over pulley and out again.
This should release the cord lock.
If this does not fix the problem take your blind out of the window.
This occurs for a variety of reasons but you can typically lower the blinds using a manual method.
Locate the cord lock mechanism in the headrail the lift cords run through this.
Look inside the head rail to find the lock mechanism.
Place the screwdriver head in a perpendicular position to the head rail and press the flat surface against the pin.
Use the flathead screwdriver to poke the pin inside the lock mechanism.
If this does not work the pawl must be released follow these easy steps.
Remove old tilt cord by pulling it out.
Sometimes the cord can become lopsided or tilted after extensive use and affect how the blind functions.
Lift up and out depending on your bracket configuration to remove the blinds from the window.
Remove the blinds by taking the headrail out of the brackets.
To help release the lock place your hand on the middle of the bottom rail and push up while simultaneously trying to unlock the blind cord.
When tugging the cords to the center of the blinds doesn t lower the blinds remove the blinds from the brackets.
Step 3 if the cords are stuck or jammed take a screwdriver or needle nose pliers and move the pin to free the cords.

Remove the cap covering the hole in the bottom rail of the venetian blinds.
To release the blinds tug the lift cords to the side pulling towards the center of the blinds.
Step 1 take a look at the cords and moveable pin in the cordlock mechanismlocated inside the headrail of the blind.
Grasp the side cord on the blinds and raise it upward until it is level with the top rail on the blinds.

First hold your lift cords level with the headrail and gently pull.
You can do this with your hands and fingers.
Usually this extra support does the trick.
Untie or cut off knots at ends of tilt cord and remove pulls.
Step 2 make sure that the cords can move freely.
If the cords still don t pull or adjust the height of your blinds then you may need to force the lock mechanism open.
Look for the end of the cord where it is tied in a knot.
Pull the cord toward you and cut the knot off the end of the cord.
